Government, politics and we the people.
I shall be the first to admit and agree with the common views and opinions formed by many of you my fellow Aussies that government is not perfect and continually screw up in this country in many regards.
However sitting and hiding away in our homes and behind our faceless computers complaining about our government and all their blunders and injustice is this truly addressing and resolving anything at all in our country?
This fight we are all in is bigger than any individual.
"We must all be willing and prepared and ready to fight” for equality for justice for our children for the ultimate victory will depend upon the minds and hearts of the people who actually live out here in the communities, suburbs and homes by helping to bring each other hope and encouragement through your actions you are also striking a very important blow for the cause of freedom throughout our country in order our country can grow and flourish.
Each and every one of you are the backbone of this great country our responsibility our duty and our purpose is to eliminate corruption, inequality and injustice within our government and elective representatives.
To achieve the victory we all seek we require unity, solidarity and strength in numbers. As stated “This fight we are all in is bigger than any individual” and the stakes are high.
We are fighting for the rights and freedoms and liberties of all Australians, for the future of our country and the futures of our children, for the return of democracy and a democratic government that acts accordingly in the best interest of our country and our citizens and all our futures.
If we are to use the modern technology of internet and communication to our advantage then let us use it wisely in a proactive manner to reach and encourage each other, to build upon bringing about “Unity” in our country and for our country.
Let us use the modern technology of internet to bring about “Online Direct Democracy” whereby you all have your inclusion and involvement and say and vote on proposed government policies that shape and govern our country and the direction and future of our country.

Establishment of an ACT anti-corruption commission.
Neither major party in the ACT would establish a corruption watchdog, something that exists in every other state in Australia. Liberals have confirmed they would not seek to establish an anti-corruption commission, similar to the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption, in the ACT. Labor Chief Minister Andrew Barr similarly wouldn't establish an anti-corruption commission,
It is crucial that the people of Canberra have faith in their government, and that the territory did not go down the path of NSW government. Canberrans are very concerned about issues of integrity when it relates to the ACT government as indicated at a recent public West basin forum conducted.

TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY VIA ONLINE DIRECT DEMOCRACY.
More often than not I hear and receive the following statements and comments.
Examples.
The answer - Online Direct Democracy
Democracy as a system is rooted in thinking and constraints from 500 years ago. Every few years it represents a few to make decisions on behalf of everyone else. It has high thresholds of entry: you need either a lot of resources or to devote your life to politics. The language is also complicated, so we can choose the authorities but are left out of how the decisions are made. The political system is 200 years old, and expects us to be passive recipients of the monologue. This attitude itself alienates citizens – giving them no opportunities to intervene except by protest’. People want their seat at the table.
The current generation has been good at using technology to organise protests, that have overthrown totalitarian governments and changed unpopular laws. However we have not yet used the technology to change the system itself. If the internet is the new printing press, then what is democracy for the internet era?
We can use technology to solve current political problems, rather than relying on the tools of the past trough “Online Direct Democracy” which translates issues into easy-to-understand language and allows people to informally vote on them. Citizen’s votes could then be compared with the votes of their representatives to see the discrepancies.
We need to legislate “Online Direct Democracy to get politicians on board with the idea of a two way conversation with voters. To expect the political elite to go along with the “Online Direct Democracy” program which would represent transparency and accountability by politicians to citizens will not come about without legislating the program as a requirement.
Many of you have heard me share the message time and time again what is "democratic" about an enormous imposition of power on citizens who have no way of knowing what's going on or taking place, of debating issues or influencing their government in its decisions that impact upon all our lives and futures and our country. "That's anti democratic"

Examples.
- Politicians do not listen.
- Politicians do not consult.
- Politicians do not include or involve us. (other than for elections)
- We are ignored.
- Complaints about what is not being done by politicians and government.

Say No to homelessness and unaffordable housing in Australia.
Many people in Canberra are living on the edge of being homeless and There needs to be more housing for people with disability that is affordable and accessible.
"There are more people than you think sleeping rough in our city during cold Canberra winters … women and young people are especially at risk."
Lying just below the radar in Canberra are heartbreaking stories of people who've unexpectedly found themselves being forced to sleep rough.
They may have lost their jobs, perhaps through lay-offs in the private sector or "efficiency dividends" in the public service, and suddenly discovered the once-solid foundation of their life crumbling, with nothing to break their plunge into darkness, depression and poverty.

Say "NO" to "Safe Schools Program" in Australia in it's current format.
During the 2016 Federal election various polls were conducted such as this one above by the herald sun. Please note number 12 where 86% say no to the current "Safe Schools Program in it's present format. The Safe Schools Coalition program is a radical program that encourages kids to explore gender theory and sexual practices.
“We can’t legislate thought, we can’t force or regulate true acceptance,” Any attempt to control thought would “both fail and potentially provide fuel for a backlash”.
Parents are expressing concern about the way the program was structured and a lack of empirical evidence supporting it. Concerns about the divisive content and detrimental impact that this particular program could have on school communities. Parents have shared with me that while they deplored all forms of bullying, they were concerned that the program focused only on issues relating to sexuality instead of taking a “multifaceted approach”.
It's time our politicians put children ahead of sexual ideology. It's time they ended this program.
As a responsible parent do you agree with transgender awareness being taught in primary schools to your children?
Many parents are so concerned with the "Safe Schools Program" they have shared not allowing their children to attend schools that run the program.
The Australian constitution and Politics ought to be a subject that students learn to understand in our schools so they can learn the mechanics of how it affects their lives.

Say "NO" to $707 million, for just 12km of tramline and invest in current bus service and ACT roads to improve our bus service.
Infrastructure projects like the Capital Metro are large, disruptive and expensive. Large transport systems also need to be developed over time, meaning that many suburbs across Canberra may not see their own light rail connection for some decades.
It is also absolutely appropriate for political leaders to hold the government of the day accountable for their infrastructure and other expenditure decisions. Public opposition should oppose priorities and policies that it disagrees with.
Canberrans will pay an upfront $375 million to the Canberra Metro consortium, plus an average $64 million a year over 20 years, to build and operate the much-debated tram line from Gungahlin to the city. The final price of the project is $710 million
The ACT Government's own submission found that bus rapid transit would deliver higher economic returns. The ACT Government subsequently decided to proceed with the light rail proposal, without a valid explanation. Do you believe "ACT Light Rail" to be a sustainable or value for money project for the ACT?

Preventative health clinic service for our elderly citizens.
A range of programs to help older Canberrans with preventative advice and care ranging from diet, exercise, physical and mental degeneration, companionship resulting in a significant cost saving before they become serious requiring attention by our main health care system.
This service will enable an increasing number of retirees wanting to stay in their own homes to do just that without feeling isolated from the care they need.
